VISUAL ARTS

Fourth Graders have been working diligently on their Reading Fair Projects.  Students have each chosen a favorite fiction book and have analyzed the different literary elements about that book. Students have studied the plot, conflict, resolution, characters, setting, theme, author’s tone and mood, as well as author’s purpose and have written summaries for each element.

Writing in response to reading is a fabulous way for children to improve their reading comprehension! The kids are doing great and are ready to start their visual   projects. They will be creating tri-folds that contain all of their information, as well as a fun, visual artistic piece to go along with the info.

Fourth graders will be presenting their reading fair projects at our school wide literacy night on Wednesday, March 11! See you there!

On Monday, March 2, we all celebrated Dr. Suess Day! Students wore their pajamas, and Mr. and Mrs. Glynn (and baby) couldn't resist wearing Dr. Suess themed shirts!
